This weeks bold pick (March 29-April 3) :Komodo Dragon**-
–noun
a monitor lizard, Varanus komodoensis, of certain Indonesian islands E of Java, that grows to a length of 10 ft. (3 m): the largest lizard in the world; now rare.
I wish I could say that the bold pick of this week was able to match the level of bad ass-ness this reptile has. I mean he has E. Coli and Staph in his saliva ALONG with an anti-coagulator. Not only killing you with diseases, but making sure you bleed along the way.
So coffee. The only redeeming quality that this coffee has is the first sip. If your not ready for it, the kick on it is something fierce. Not a bitter taste but just a strong "hey motha licka I'm a bold coffee, drink me." After that, the romance just fizzles away like a bad trailer park marriage.
I was way, way to excited for this weeks bold and ended up with a huge let down. Every subsequent sip after the awesome first kinda tastes like my seasoning cabinet at home smells. A lot of spices and herbs kinda thrown together. Never able to determine an actual particular taste or even hint of a certain spice. All the while throwing in a semi-sweet dark chocolate after taste, with bad coffee breath to boot.
Now today is Monday which is supposed to be Caffe Verona, but my SB finds it necessary not to follow the rules and finish the previous week before dishing up the current. So I have to wait until tomorrow to get the new bold. What is nice though is that the girl behind the counter remembers what I like. Bonus points for that.
So the current line up stands thus:
1. Yukon
2. Starbucks (Red) East Africa Blend
3. Italian Roast
4. Komodo Dragon
